The Completion Process is a highly transformative method that brings long-term results by identifying and healing the root cause of your pain and problems. It helps to feel more at peace with yourself and live a happier life.
If we want to stop weeds from growing, we have to pull them out with root. The Completion Process is an integration process that uses your triggers to find the root causes of your issues, rather than working on the symptoms. By addressing the root traumas of your problems, the symptoms often reduce or fade on their own.
During the Completion Process, you can heal your wounds and retrieve lost aspects of yourself that have been fractured by experiencing traumatic situations. It is a way to put yourself back together again, so you are no longer inhibited by the past traumas or terrified of the future. The process will leave you with a stronger sense of value and the assurance that life can be good again.
All people have experienced traumatic situations in their lives. In childhood, even seemingly not so traumatic situations can feel very painful, cause mental or emotional distress and therefore stay unresolved (for example, being left crying in a crib for several hours, being weaned from mother’s breastmilk, getting lost in a crowd and not finding parents). When you experience trauma and you are in a survival situation, you can’t be processing your experiences and you cannot be feeling these emotions. So, you don’t deal with the feelings and split part from them. Your unconscious mind may repress the memory for you to move on with life. Therefore you may have no idea that your current problems can be connected to unresolved trauma. The symptoms of trauma can manifest as:
- paralyzing fear
- chronic pain
- mental illness
- low self-esteem
- relationship problems
- generally painful life
Additionally, to the symptoms, you may experience the reflection of a buried trauma as emotional reactions (triggers) in your day-to-day life. A trigger is an emotional flashback that is taken out of context. Triggers happen when suppressed aspects of your traumatic memory come up because they want to be healed, want a resolution. That is why you have strong feelings that come to you out of context and feel like out of place. Your body reacts as it is actually still in the traumatic situation. When you are triggered, it is difficult to realize in that moment that you are actually reacting to a memory rather than what is happening in the present moment. You may have fight, flight and freeze reactions to something that reminds you of that traumatic situation.

We can do the Completion Process via Zoom / Skype video call or meet in my therapy room in Tallinn, Estonia. As a Completion Process practitioner, I will create and hold a trusting environment and guide you when needed, so that you can safely express your emotions, thoughts and feel supported throughout the whole process.
If this is the first time to do the Completion Process, I will ask you to do a guided meditation as a preparation before the session. This will help you to set up a trusted place in your mind.
At the beginning of our first session. I will ask about your background, challenges in life and if needed, explain concepts related to our work. You can share with me whatever feels relevant to you. I will support you by listening, mirroring, asking questions and counseling. After the conversation, we will choose one topic and go into the Completion Process with it.
I will ask you to talk about the painful situation in your life that you want to address. This will lead to a trigger and ultimately bring you back to the original trauma. Inside the memory, we use active visualization and other techniques to find resolution and heal the past wound. After the process, we will discuss what happened during the process and questions that may have arisen during the process.
The Completion Process requires you to feel emotions and re-experience a difficult memory that you may have been suppressing for years. If you are not used to connecting with your emotions, reaching the root memory may be a bit more challenging for you and take multiple sessions. In that case, I will guide you to first to connect with yourself and your feelings so that you would feel more ready to go through the whole Completion Process.
Please keep in mind that already being present with your emotions and feelings provides a healing experience and often brings some relief to your current pains.
Once we have reached the root memory of your pain and found a resolution, you will likely feel better. Commonly, the trigger about the painful situation will fade, it becomes easier to make conscious choices, and your overall life’s quality will improve.
A Completion Process session is much like an emotional rebirth and we cannot guess exactly how long a session will last because each person has different needs and past traumas. It is important to reach a resolution once a root trauma has come up and therefore some flexibility is needed. Sessions usually last around 1.5 – 2.5 hours. Please make sure to leave some flexible time after the session so that you wouldn’t be rushed.
After the Completion Process, you may feel emotionally raw as your body is acclimating to the changes and a new state. So, it is best to take the rest of your day at a slower pace, drink a lot of water and be gentle with yourself.
The Completion Process is created by an American personal transformation revolutionary Teal Swan.

The Completion Process is nowadays used by thousands of people around the world and it is also accredited by the International Coach Federation as an advanced educational tool for coaches.
Please keep in mind that the demonstration is just an example. Every session is unique and may vary depending on your preferences, traumas, needs and boundaries.
Facilitating the Completion Process, Parts Work, counseling, and coaching sessions has been my primary work since 2019. I run a private practice named Tuuli Coaching OÜ in Estonia.
I have been interested in psychology and spirituality for years and love finding tools that help to resolve different problems people encounter daily. Since 2013, I have learned from Teal Swan by watching her videos, reading her books, and participating in her workshops. Additionally, I am a certified counselor and coach, have taken courses on trauma healing, family therapy, parts work, peer support and consciousness. I have also studied mindfulness-based stress reduction and help to organize guided group meditations weekly.
